Catherine (Donovan) Wright, age 89, of Cedar Rapids, IA, passed away due to Covid at Garnett Place on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

Catherine was born on November 26, 1933, in Iowa City, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary (Dewey) Donovan. On July 18, 1980, Catherine married Arlo (Lefty) Wright in Galena, IL. She retired from Rockwell Collins. She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Texas. San Antonio was her favorite.

Those left to cherish Catherine’s memory are her children: Diane (Russell) Toler of Missouri and her son, Brian Wegmuller; Larry Wegmuller of Martelle, Iowa, and his son, Tanner Grover; Rebecca Matus of Phoenix, Arizona, and her daughter, Lynnette Wegmuller; Mary Wegmuller of Cedar Rapids, IA, and her sons, Damon Wegmuller, Hunter Melsha and daughter, Skyller Wegmuller. She was preceded in death by her son, Allan Wegmuller. Allan’s children are Roger Wegmuller, Chelsea Wyatt and Aleeza Wegmuller. Catherine’s great-grandchildren are Allison and Gage. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Arlo (Lefty), her parents, her great-grandson, Ethan and her siblings, Mike, Robert, Al, Don, Larry and Dorothy Mae Donovan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

The family would like to thank Bobbie and Galen Pettengill and Kathy Cook for their devotion to our Mom over the years.
