Gladys T. Brezina, 93, of Tama, Iowa, passed away at Premier Estates on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2023.

A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel, 1221 First Ave. SW, on Friday, Oct. 13, from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m., with Father Dennis Conway officiating. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Tranquility.

Gladys was born on Nov. 29, 1929, in Chelsea, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Balvin) Brezina. She was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Those left to cherish Gladys memory are her son, Don Pope of Fairfield, Iowa; her brothers, Bernard (Sharon) Brezina of Tama, Iowa, and Richard Brezina of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and her sisters, Rosalie Hartkemeyer, Marjorie Emerson, both of Belle Plaine, Iowa, Marcella Cline, and Arlene Tubbs, both of Swisher, Iowa, and Caroline Zach of Guttenberg, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Edward, Leonard and Joseph Brezina; and her sister, Lillian Lund.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Premier Estates for all the love and support, they showed Gladys while she was in their care.
