William G. Tucker

William G. “Uncle Bill” Tucker, 66, passed away unexpectedly March 21, 2021 at OhioHealth Mansfield surrounded by his family after suffering a stroke. Bill was a faithful, giving and kind man. He will forever be missed by family and friends.

He was born to Gerald and Ruth Tucker on May 8, 1954. He was raised in Olivesburg before moving to Ashland. He was a 1972 graduate of Ashland High School and a 1976 graduate of Ashland University with a degree in Business. After graduation, Bill joined the family business, G.E. Tucker Insurance Agency. He was employed for over twenty years at Buren Insurance Group where he truly enjoyed his coworkers and his work. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. He enjoyed reading, weight lifting, but most of all spending time with his family.

Bill is survived by his sister, Diane R. Tucker of Ashland; his niece and her husband, Ken and Jennifer Teske; great nephew, Brady Tucker Teske; great niece, Kensey Rae Teske of Saginaw, Michigan; and two aunts, Joann Shopbell of Ashland and Eileen Herr of Medina. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe private graveside services at Adario Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 1140 Claremont Ave. Ashland, Ohio 44805. The Ashland Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is honored to serve the Tucker family.
