1942-2023

Cameron, Mo… Wayne Eugene Mott, age 81, was born June 8, 1942 in Kincaid, KS the son of Frank Oliver and Lola Mae (Roush) Mott and passed away September 13, 2023 in Cameron, Missouri.

Wayne was in the United States Army from 1966 to 1972 and served in Vietnam in the 11th Calvary Black Horse. One July 31, 1992 Wayne and Miki Reno Trisler were united in marriage in Gladstone, MO.  He worked at McPike Pharmaceutical and later McKesson Pharmaceutical where he retired after 41 years of service.  In 1993 while at a Spiritual Retreat, Wayne received comfort in which he finally felt as though he was home from Vietnam. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; son DeWayne “Bud” Mott, and brother David Mott.

Survivors include his wife Miki; son Michael Mott; three step children; sister, Sally (Rusty) Ireland; three grandchildren; and thirteen step grandchildren.

Wayne has been cremated under the care of Turner Funeral Home. 

A Celebration of Life service will be at a later date. Inurnment will be at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri under direction of Turner Family Funeral Home of Maysville.
