Karen Lynn Schmidt
Karen Lynn Schmidt, age 75, of Yorkville, IL passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Accent Care in Naperville, IL. She was born on June 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Walter and Laura (Milka) Kuczkuda.
Karen was united in marriage on May 17, 1969 to John Werner Schmidt and spent the next 41 years happily together until his passing in March of 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, John (Prudence) Schmidt Jr. of Kentucky, Lori (Scott) Welu of Yorkville, IL, and Paul (Deanna) Schmidt of Plainfield, IL; her eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Laura Kuczkuda; and her husband, John Schmidt.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 22, 2023 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 406 Walnut St., Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.
