Florice “Tootie” Heid

Florice Jane “Tootie” Heid, 87, of New Philadelphia, passed away Monday, March 15, 2021 at Park Village Health Care following a period of declining health.

A daughter of the late Eli Dean and Florence (Jackson) McMann, Tootie was born July 30, 1933 at New Philadelphia, Ohio.

On November 11, 1955, she married Paul G. Heid and together they raised one daughter, Tammie. The couple shared 35 years of marriage prior to Paul’s passing on March 1, 1991.

Tootie was always a good neighbor who formed close relationships with many of her neighbors over the years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Tim Kendle of Gilmore; a grandson, Travis Kendle of Gilmore; two granddaughters, Tricia (Eric) Morrison of Gnadenhutten and Tonya Kendle of Gilmore; a great-granddaughter, Riley Morrison and a great-grandson, Easton Morrison.

Tootie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, William McMann.

Private visitation and services will be held with interment taking place in Stone Creek Cemetery.
