Leovigildo Ocon

Leovigildo Ocon, age 62 of Plano, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in General Escobedo, Durango, Mexico the son of Francisco and Amelia (Avitia) Ocon.

Leovigildo was united in marriage on July 24, 1982 to Lorenza Rodriguez and they spent the next 41 years happily together. Mr. Ocon was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Plano, IL. Leovigildo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Leovigildo is survived by his wife, Lorenza Ocon of Plano, IL; his children, Daniel (Yesenia Cadena) Ocon of Montgomery, IL, Lorena (Dante Dickerson) Ocon of Plano, IL and Leovigildo “Leo” Ocon, Jr., of Plano, IL; his grandchildren, Caroline, Aleiah, Aiden, Joziah, and Anik; his siblings, Herlindo (Odilia) Ocon, Natalia (Rosenberg) Pena, Jesusmanuel (Maria De Jesus) Ocon, Enrique (Olivia) Ocon, Gregorio (Dawn) Ocon, Jose Luis (Lucila) Ocon, Hector (Rosa) Ocon, Rojelio (Elizabeth) Ocon, Pancholin Ocon, Magdaleno (Laura) Ocon, and Eloisa Ocon; his sisters-in-law, Margarita Ocon, Zoila Ocon, Cecilia Ocon, and Rebeca Ocon; also many, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Amelia Ocon; his son, Hector Ocon; his siblings, Arturo, Ambrocio, Francisco, Estelita and Alfredo Ocon.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 2, 2023 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1001 North Center Avenue, Plano, IL.  Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery in Plano, IL.

Friends may visit from 4:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL.
