Jeffrey Allan Kilts, 53, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Aug. 4, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center. Services: noon Thursday, Aug. 10, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 10 a.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Jeffrey was born on April 4, 1970, in San Jose, Calif., the son of Allan and Evelyn Kilts. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1988 and graduated from Coe College in 1992. He worked for Country Kitchen starting in high school until after graduating from college. He then worked for APAC (which is now Alorica) for 30 years.
On Oct. 19, 1991, he was united in marriage to LuAnn Drilling at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. They met while working at Country Kitchen. Jeffrey enjoyed watching football, basketball and any other sports on TV. He enjoyed going to the Kernels games with family members. He enjoyed the bus trips before Covid to see the Chicago Cubs play with family. He enjoyed reading his comics each day and loved watching his cartoons, especially the Flintstones.
He was a kind, quiet and caring man who loved his family especially the Sunday lunches at his parents.
Preceding in death was his grandparents, Pedro (Pete) and Generosa (Jean) Siason and Clarence and Garnet Kilts.
Survivors include his wife, LuAnn; daughter, Amanda; son, Michael; his mom and dad, Evelyn and Allan Kilts; his sisters, Kim (Tony) Threatt, Karen Kilts and Kristal (Dan) Long, all of Cedar Rapids; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kenneth and Bonnie Drilling of Riceville, Iowa; brother-in-law, Greg (Sheila) Drilling of Riceville; sister-in-law, Annette (Scott) Squier of Mason City; and numerous nieces and nephews.
