Alan R. Raboine

Alan R. Raboine, age 83, of Yorkville, IL formerly of Lee, IL passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at his home.  He was born on August 26, 1939 in Aurora, IL, the son of Norman and Ann (Matyas) Raboine.

Alan was united in marriage on April 18, 1961 to the former Miss Carole Branon and they have spent the next 62 years happily together.  Alan was a proud Veteran of the United States Air Force. Mr. Raboine was, for many years, the owner and operator of Raboine Engineering in Aurora, IL.  Alan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Carole Raboine of Yorkvile, IL; his children, Gail Smith Beil of Charleston, IL, Ricky Raboine of Moorsville, IN, Robin (Norman) Newman of Oswego, IL, Penny (Dave) Hubbard of Wilburton, OK, Roger (Mary) Raboine of Mesa, AZ, Brian (Dorothy) Raboine of Aurora, IL; his eleven grandchildren; one great-grandaughter; his two sisters, Elaine ( Bill) Krieger of Elk Grove Village, IL and Janet Raboine of Arizona; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Norman, and Ann Raboine; and his sister, Laurayne Bohler.

A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 North Bridge Street, Yorkville, IL. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until the Hour of Service on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
