Ivan Keith Grimm, 65, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away from a sudden illness. A Celebration of Life will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 24, at Shellsburg Mason Hall.

Ivan was born Jan. 19, 1958, to Wayne and Nadine (Hinckley) Grimm. Ivan was a jack of all trades, working in different careers throughout his life. He liked to watch “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy.” He loved to eat good food on Sundays after riding in the car with his family. Ivan also liked to go fishing and camping and loved being outdoors. He liked to meet new people and make new friends and he loved to tell stories. His family will miss him forever.

Those left to cherish Ivan’s memory are his sisters, Cecilia (Pat) Michael, Carma (Andrew) Burrows, Brenda (Lee) Heims and Lorena (Jergade) Poyner; three nieces and two nephews; three great-nieces and three great-nephews; many cousins; as well as his friends.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Nadine.

Memorials may be directed to the family; they will be donated to mental health charities.
