Rosetta Davis

Mrs. Rosetta Davis, 89 years old, was born March 30, 1934 to the late Mr. Tyler Hooper Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Hooper in Bessemer, Alabama. She grew up and was educated in the Jefferson County Public School System. She later relocated to Akron, Ohio. Rosetta was given away in marriage in 1953 to the late Mr. Ulysses Davis Sr.
Rosetta was employed by Akron Towel Supply, Akron General Hospital, and as a Care Giver to the late Mrs. Ruth Moss.
She enjoyed traveling down south, especially with the Blocker family. She liked shopping, gardening, and cooking. Rosetta was excellent at cook!!!
Rosetta was a devout Jehovah’s Witness from 1968 until her death on April 26, 2023. She enjoyed participating in all facets of the Kingdom Ministry including fellowshipping with the members of the Congregation.
She is preceded in death by her husband Ulysses Davis Sr.: parents Mr. Tyler Hooper Sr. and Mrs. Elizabeth Hooper: two sons Ulysses Davis Jr. and Gregory Davis Sr.: grandson Gregory Davis Jr. and granddaughter Arielle Davis.
Her surviving family includes her three daughters Anita (Jerry) Tarrant of Ellenwood Georgia, Franchetta (Luther) Maxwell of Akron, Ohio and Marcia (James) Drysdale of Lorain, Ohio. six grandchildren: Jerrick (Chearese) Tarrant, Ranetta Maxwell, Andreya (Jason) Maxwell-Miller, Jermaine (Chauncey) Tarrant, Shavonya Maxwell and Quinn Drysdale and twelve great grandchildren. Sisters: Curly Gard (Hampton, Georgia), Leola Pelt (Besemer, Alabama) Mable Hooper (deceased), Pearlie Keller (Cleveland, Ohio) and Fran Holloway (Bucyrus, Ohio) Three deceased brothers: Lewis Hooper, Tyler Hooper Jr. and Robert Hooper Sr. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The loss of our mother’s presence will forever be felt. You are already truly missed, WE LOVE YOU!!!
