Theresa Julia (TJ) Lape

Theresa Julia (TJ) Lape, 80, passed away on Thursday; February 25, 2021 at her home in Granbury.

She was born May 17, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Ormond and Frances Frew Sabin.

TJ was the Owner and Operator of TJ’s Café in Thorp Spring for over (25) years. She loved to cook and watching cooking shows, dancing and country music. TJ enjoyed tubing down the river, camping and riding motorcycles. She was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers and was a Nascar enthusiast. TJ just enjoyed life. She had a great sense of humor and was a very outspoken person.

She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Clyde Lape; her second husband, John E. Lape and by a brother Ormand Gene Sabin.

TJ is survived by her four children; daughter, Frances Barnes; son, Clyde Lape, II and his wife Karen; daughter, Theresa Wright and her husband Darrell; daughter, Bonnie Lape; five step-children; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Sabo and Frances Witte; numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5:00pm. to 7:00pm. Monday; March 1, 2021 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM. Tuesday; March 2, 2021 in Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury with her son, Clyde Lape, II officiating. Entombment will follow at Holly Hills Memorial Park  under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.
