Betty Ruth Backus

Betty Ruth Backus, 96, passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Granbury. She was born November 2, 1924 in Hocking County, Ohio to Herman and Ruth Bowlby McMannis.

Betty was a member of the Granbury Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband William Backus on March 26, 2001. She is survived by her son, James Backus, Sr. and wife Lila; grandsons, James Backus, Jr. and wife Amy and Gary Backus wife Dana; three great-grandchildren, Ross Backus and wife Kaitlin, Hannah Backus and Katlyn Backus; sister, Buna Nutter and a niece, Suzanne Metz and husband Rusty.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30am Tuesday; February 23, 2021 at Holly Hills Memorial Park with Rev. Lonnie Lehrman officiating under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury,TX.
