Robert “Bob” L. Stork
Robert “Bob” L. Stork, 83, of Springfield, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Springfield Memorial Hospital. He was born October 26, 1939, in Springfield, the son of Leo J. and Mary (Kulavic) Stork. He married Donna L. Gresham on September 28, 1963 at St. Patrick Catholic Church by Reverend Dominic Lyndon.
Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Donna; daughter, Susan (Donald) Kellogg of Grayslake; two grandchildren, Austin and Shelby Kellogg; two sisters, Mary Ann (Carl Compardo) Smith of Auburn and Judith (Rick) Farley of Riverton; two brothers, Donald (Hazel) Stork of Riverton and Leo (Carol) Stork of Springfield; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mark Stork.
Bob was the owner and operator of Stork’s Catering for 40 years. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith and belonged to St. Katherine Drexel Parish. He was a member of the Ansar Shrine Patrol and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. Bob was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the early 1960’s.
Visitation: 2 – 5 pm Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Staab Funeral Home – Springfield with a Masonic Service at 5 pm.
Funeral Mass: 10: 30 am, Monday, November 28, 2022 at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Reverend James Isaacson officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery where military honors will be conducted.
