Tyrone Lee Green, 55, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, in his home.

A Celebration of Life will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, in the safe room at Thomas Park in Marion. Funeral and burial arrangements in Mason City at a later date.

Tyrone was an advocate for many and enjoyed helping others in anyway he could. His heart was so loving. Anyone who knew him knew this about him. He enjoyed making connections with others and his laugh and smile were infectious. Most of all he was so proud of his children and loved them deeply.

Tyrone is survived by eight children, Darian Patterson of Washington, Molly Robinson of Cedar Rapids, Taylor Olson of Cedar Rapids, Dakota Green of Cedar Rapids, Jacob Olson of Cedar Rapids, Tyson Green of New Hampton, Brianna Green of Minneapolis and Jaianna Green of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Kathy) Green of Mason City, Anthony Green of Humboldt, Justin (Sarah) Green of Mason City and Tiffany (Glenn) Green-Harrington of Mason City; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Yvette Antoinette Miller.
