Wilma Jean Marshall Mathis

Wilma Jean Marshall Mathis, 74, of Flat Rock, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, at her residence.  She was born in Hendersonville to the late Huey and Ethel Marshall.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, William “Bill” Marshall and her sister, Ethel Jane Marshall.

Wilma was a seamstress most of her life and worked for Upholstery Packages & Services of Arden.  She was a member of Tuxedo First Baptist Church and loved camping and being with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Tommy Mathis; daughters, Vickie McCall and her husband Larry of Zirconia; son, Gene Mathis and his wife Kendra of Hendersonville; grandchildren, Kalob Crawford and his wife Kaleigh, Brian McCall and his fiancé Jordan Warren, Cheyenne McCall and her fiancé Dillon Gore; great grandchild, Charlotte Crawford; brothers, Ted Marshall and his wife Molly, Larry Marshall and his wife Alida; sister-in-law, Wanda Marshall; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at three o’clock on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Tuxedo First Baptist Church with the Reverend Mikell Bennett officiating.
