Autley “Bud” Thompson, 88, of Hendersonville, died Tuesday, May 10, 2022.
A native of Deland, FL, he was the son of the late Maxie Thompson and Willow Snow Carter.
Bud earned a B. S. in Electrical Engineering and retired from Orlando Utilities of Florida. He also belonged to the Army National Guard in Florida. Bud lived in Mims, FL and Titusville, FL before moving to Hendersonville. He was a member of Fruitland Methodist Church.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Elizabeth L. Thompson; a daughter, Julie T. Rogers and her husband Stephen of Mocksville, NC; a son, Keith L. Thompson and his wife Susan of Seguin, TX; six grandchildren, Joshua Thompson, Michael Thompson, Samuel Rogers, Sarah Stauter, Hannah Thompson, Daniel Thompson; three great-grandchildren, Isabella Thompson, Evelyn Thompson, and Levi Stauter; two sisters, Andalusia Harrington and Nancy Hinson; and a brother, Frank Thompson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Fruitland Methodist Church.
