Ellen Ziegler

Ellen M. Ziegler, age 79, of Chicago. Beloved wife of the late Max Zigler. She is survived by her brother Charles Dattola and his wife Holly Harris of Cohasset, Massachusetts, her brother John Dattola of Florida, her  sister Rita Dattola and Rita’s husband, William Ruffer, of New York City and her nephew Kyle Harris.  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary of Providence, 4200 North Austin Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60634 would be appreciated by the family.  Ellen was loved  and admired by her friends as a caregiver and empathetic person, friendly to all.   She worked for many years as a radiology technician at St. Joseph’s hospital in Chicago. She was a skillful flower gardener and excellent baker of breads and sweet treats.  A visitation will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Chicago IL from 10:00-11:00am. A prayer service will be held at 11:00am. Interment will be at  All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Des Plaines. For more information please call 773-736-3833.
