Daniel J. Jirus III

Daniel J. Jirus III, age 69 of Plano, IL passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He was born on March 6, 1952 in Berwyn, IL the son of Daniel and Vlasta (Cuchy) Jirus II.

Dan was united in marriage on April 8, 1998 to Rima Stadalnykaite and they spent the next 24 years happily together. He was a business owner and a man of many talents including farming and construction among several others. Mr. Jirus was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle who will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Dan is survived by his wife, Rima Jirus of Plano, IL; his children, Wendy (Brian) Scott of Sycamore, IL, Daniel (Janae) Jirus IV of Plainfield, IL, Kerry Lynn Jirus of Lincoln, NE, James (Lauren) Jirus of Bloomington, IL, Samanta (Fiance, Kris Haish) Jirus of Yorkville, IL, and Joe Jirus of Newark, IL; his six grandchildren, Jessica Scott, Danielle Wylie, Ariana Pini, Sophia Jirus,
Ava Jirus, and Carter Jirus; 2 great-grandchildren, Rylee Brooks and Zaiden Scott; his siblings, Jerry Jirus of FL and Nancy (Jeff) Hendrickson of Hawthorn Hills, IL; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Vlasta Jirus II.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 West South Street, Plano, IL with Deacon Doug Wells, officiating. Interment will follow in the Griswold Springs Cemetery in Plano, IL.

Friends may visit from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Friday, March 11, 2022 at the Funeral Home in Plano, IL.
