Jacqueline Gilliam

Jacqueline “Jackie” Gilliam, age 70, passed away early Friday morning, March 4, 2022, in Mansfield. She was born January 12, 1952, in Mansfield, Ohio, to the late Florence Ellen (Allender) and Perry Jackson Rose.

Jackie retired as a Supervisor from Life Touch Church Directories. She was a member of Gospel Assembly in Leesville and truly loved God. Jackie was the world’s best baker and cook and truly loved her entire family, but her grandchildren and great-grandchildren held a special place in her heart. The travel bug bit Jackie and she especially enjoyed visiting Tennessee and Florida. Shopping was one of her favorite pastimes and she enjoyed collecting “Gone With the Wind” memorabilia.

Jackie is survived by two sons, David (Missy) Boggs and Stephen Boggs (Jason Tanner); five grandchildren, Brady Boggs, Abby (Tyler) Weisman, Cristianna Boggs, Tyler Boggs, and Anthony Brazzi; and three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Emma and Cameron Weisman. She is also survived by a special friend, Norman Christopher; sister, Barbara Watson; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Jace Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Laverne Gilliam; parents; and four siblings, Wade Stallard, Lovel Stallard, Maxine Elliott, and Jimmy Rose.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 13, 2022, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A celebration of Jackie’s life will follow at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in care of the family.
