Celebrating the Life of Eulasses Lee Haywood

Began his earthly journey: June 6, 1985

Entered the heavenly abode: December 6, 2025

With a big laugh and a heart full of humor, Eulasses brightened the lives of everyone around him. A devoted father, he cherished his children, who were the center of his world. He worked tirelessly—often long hours—and faced life’s challenges with quiet strength and courage, always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Eulasses walked his own path with integrity, made brave choices, and will be remembered for his humor, generosity, and the unwavering love he gave to family and friends.

He delighted in studying horoscopes, loved animals, collected rocks, enjoyed video games and animated and action films, and embraced new cultures. He also had a deep love for food, especially Italian and South Indian dishes—lasagna and beef-and-egg curry were among his favorites. Eulasses lived life on his own terms, and his spirit of courage, generosity, and joy will be cherished eternally.

Eulasses’ legacy continues through his beloved children: Asante Levi Haywood-Suber, Elliora Grey Haywood, and Kahlee’el Lincoln James Haywood.

He is lovingly remembered by his parents: Cassandra Balakrishnan, Narasingam Balakrishnan, James Wilder (Jennifer), and Holly W. Bliven; and by his siblings: Krishnaveni Balakrishnan, Haripriya Balakrishnan, Balasingam Balakrishnan, Zachary Wilder, Hilary Brown (Gerald, Aubrie, Andrew), Ariel Madden (Michael, Amelia), and Georgiana Wilder. He is also cherished by his aunts Cheryl Gibert, Joyce Robinson, Clara Clark, Marlene Kramer, Karen Wilder Jenkins (Wade, Matthew); his uncle’s William Haywood, Johnny Haywood, Matthew Haywood, David Haywood, and James Haywood; and more than 70 first and second cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Shuler Funeral Home. The family will received friends one hour prior to the service and a graveside service will be held at Oakdale Cemetery following the celebration of life.
