Patricia Day

Patricia A. Day, age 90 of Lake Geneva, WI passed away at her home on Monday, December 1, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 1, 1935 in Chicago, IL the daughter of James and Marie (Knees) Egan.

Pat was united in marriage to Robert J. Day Jr. on June 22, 1957 and they spent the next 52 years happily together until his passing on April 2, 2010. She was a beloved kindergarten teacher for many years until her retirement in 1992. Pat was a longtime member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana, WI. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Reid) Wetherell of Sugar Grove, IL; her grandchildren, Christopher Mahlmann, Janine Wetherell, Nicole (Luke) Brauweiler, Emily (Ben) Hedges, Sarah Wetherell, and Lauren Day; her great-grandchildren, Hailey Brauweiler, McKenna Brauweiler, Owen Wetherell, Fiona Wetherell, Connor Brauweiler; her brother, William Egan of Elmhurst, IL; her former daughter-in-law, Kelly Day of Hoffman Estates, IL; as well as her many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marie Egan; her husband, Robert J. Day Jr.; her son, James Day; sister-in-law, Sally Egan; her brother and sister-in-law, James (Roslyn) Egan.

Friends may visit from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Toynton Funeral Home, 328 Kenosha Street, Walworth, WI.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 137 Dewey Avenue, Fontana, WI.

A private Interment will be held on Monday, December 8, 2025 at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Trinity High School, 7574 Division, River Forest. Illinois, 60305, in memory of Patricia Day, class of 1953 would be appreciated.
