Ronald Eberly

Ronald Eberly, of Dundee, Ohio and Webster, Florida, a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away in Clairmont, Florida, at the age of 67, of complications due to Covid.
Ronald was born in Dover, OH on July 2, 1954, to the late Eugene Eberly and Clairene Dickerhoof. On July 18, 1977, he married Vickie (Smith) and enjoyed 44 years together.
Ron worked as a painter and sandblaster. When they moved to Florida he also worked as a maintenance worker for the resort they lived in. He was a jack of all trades and was always willing to help people with projects. He was best known for laying flooring in many of the homes around their resort. He always had to keep himself busy through his life. His hobbies included camping and fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Besides his wife, Ron is survived by his children, Keith (Shannon) Eberly of Stasburg, OH, Amanda Gerber of Dover, OH, and Clarissa (Craig) Raber of Sugarcreek, OH. His grandchildren, Cloey Eberly, Michelle Martin, Tyler Page, Ethan Gerber, Drayk Danley, Aden and Makenna Raber; and four great-children; siblings, Steve (Anita) Eberly, Martha Croston, Paul (Connie) Dickerhoof, and Neal (Michelle) Dickerhoof; and his long-time friends, James and Kathy Day and Skip Corlew.
Ron is preceded in death by his father Eugene Eberly; step-mother, Dorothy Eberly; mother, Clairene Dickerhoof; and step-father, Clyde Dickerhoof; his father-in-law, John Smith, mother-in-law, Sue (Vance) Troyer, step-father-in-law, George Troyer, and siblings, Kathrine, Eugene, Terry, Clyde, and Cloyd.
Friends are invited to honor Ron’s life at Geib Funeral Center, 5600 N. Wooster Ave. Dover on Saturday, February 5, 2022, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm with a memorial service that will begin at 5:00pm. Friends are also invited to a meal following the memorial service in the Geib Hospitality Center.
