Harry W. “Duke” Cordier, Jr.

If you are lucky enough to know Duke, you are lucky enough. Harry W (Duke) Cordier, Jr. was a gentle man, small and slight in stature, but had a heart as big as the world we live in.
Harry was born on June 7, 1927 to Alma and Harry Cordier, Sr. The oldest of four children, the other three siblings, Patricia Kuznik, Charles Cordier and Bert Cordier, predeceased him. He left his earthly body on January 27, 2022, but will live on forever in our hearts.

We are pretty sure he was a gentleman in the Old Wild West in his first life given his love for all of the old Western movies, and their stars. He was especially fond of John Wayne and treasured his John Wayne kookoo clock with the neighing horse a lot more than we did.

His heart beat everyday with joy as he enjoyed his children: Sister Brendan, Georgena, Jim (Judy) and Rick; his grandchildren Tracy, Joshua (Amy) and Zachary (Tiffany); his great-grandchildren Mackenzie (Garrett), Clayton, Cale, Caragan, Grey, Everly and Beck; and his four great-great-granddaughters Karli, Kinlee, Haisley, and Hollyn. He left an awesome legacy to his children-to always be satisfied with what you have, make the most of every situation, and be kind to everyone.

Duke has been waiting for 21 years to reunite with the love of his life, his wife Helen, and his son Rick, and will be buried with them in a private family gathering. Please do not send flowers-he can’t smell them. Just Thank God tonight in your prayers that you were lucky enough to have known such an honorable, sincerely wonderful person and pay it forward to someone in need.

Cremation rites will be handled by Staab Funeral Home. You are welcome to leave your thoughts, prayers and condolences for the family at StaabObituary.com.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protective League.
