George June, 69, of Rogers went home to be with Jesus on October 11, 2025. He was born July 2, 1956, in Houston, Texas, and was the son of S.L. and Billie Jean Fuller June. He lived in several states during his colorful life working as a hard-rock miner, commercial photographer, diver, carpenter, machinist, hunting guide and Harris County deputy employee. Most recently, he spent 22 years at Glad as a TPO and mechanic before retiring in 2022. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, camping, tinkering in his workshop and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Mary Lee Richter June. They were married January 14, 1975, in Houston, Texas and they had just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in January. He leaves behind two children, Chris June and wife Becky of Bentonville, April June Fletter and husband Marc of Bentonville, his brothers Steve June and Paul June, of Rogers, Mark June and wife Vicki of LaGrange, Texas, two brother-in-laws, Charles and John Ostendorf, and their dad, Richard Ostendorf, his aunt Nancy Fuller, a niece Sonja Ostendorf and three grandchildren Taylor, Katie and Izzy.
The family will host a visitation and memorial service for family, friends and former coworkers.
The visitation will be on Tuesday, October 14th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Benton County Funeral Home, 306 N. 4th Street, Rogers. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Benton County Funeral Home. A private family interment will follow at the Bentonville Cemetery, Bentonville, Arkansas.
