Robert Kimbrell

Robert Allen Kimbrell, known affectionately to friends and family as Allen, was called to his eternal home on October 29, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on March 27, 1958, in Brownfield, Texas. After a valiant battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully in Lubbock, Texas, surrounded by the love of his family.

He is survived by his devoted partner, Donna Newsom, his loving children, Amy Kimbrell and David Allen Kimbrell, and their mother, Diana Salinas Kimbrell. Allen’s life was previously touched by sorrow with the passing of his young son, Robert Allen Kimbrell, his mother, Jo Ann Tomlinson, and his brothers, Sammy and Ricky. His memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories and laughter shared by those who loved him.

Professionally, Allen was a master tile workman, a craft he approached with the precision and creativity that he brought to all aspects of his life. His skilled hands and keen eye for detail left a legacy of beauty in the homes and hearts of those who were privileged to know his work.

Allen’s interests were as rich and varied as his character. He was an animal lover whose kindness extended to all of God’s creatures. He found joy and tranquility in the care of his beloved fish aquariums, a hobby that reflected his appreciation for the beauty and diversity of life.

Allen’s story does not end with his passing, for he leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to inspire and guide those who knew him.

As we bid farewell to Allen, we take solace in the knowledge that he has found peace in the arms of the Lord. We celebrate a life well-lived, a journey completed, and a soul at rest. Allen’s life was a blessing to all who knew him, and his memory will forever be a treasure in our hearts. We look forward to the day when we shall meet again in that place where there is no pain or sorrow, but only the joy of reunion in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

Until we meet again, Pops. May Robert Allen Kimbrell rest in peace and may his legacy of love continue to shine as a beacon of hope and faith for generations to come.
