Marilyn Ann (Munier) Comley, 89, of Coggon, formerly of Marion, passed away Sunday, November 2nd peacefully in her home surrounded by family.
Marilyn was born September 24th, 1936 in Cedar Rapids, IA, the daughter of Harold and Marionetta (Elliott) Munier.
Marilyn attended Marion High School, where she met and later married Milford (Muff) Comley, March 14th, 1953.
From a young age Marilyn had a love for riding horses and was an avid bowler for many years. In her later years she enjoyed going for car rides, watching classic movies, reading, word games, her many dogs over the years, cooking for and spending time with her family. Marilyn was best known for her wittiness and sense of humor.
Marilyn is survived by her 3 children, Susan (Gary) Holst of Coggon, Michael Comley (Dawn) of Manchester, Jennifer Watson of Coggon; 3 grandchildren, Jason (Cortney) Greene of Cedar Rapids, Erin Shoop (Bruce) of Ryan, Sydney (Stuwart) Lowe of Walker; 9 great-grandchildren, Alex (Joe), Alyssa (Kelly), Allen, Kylee, Kasen, Scarlett, Sawyer, Josie, CeCe; 5 great-great-grandchildren, Brayden, Brecken, Lainey (and 1 due in December), Kennedy and Katherine; nephew Shane of Arizona and beloved dogs Ozzy, Bella and Vinny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Rick Wheeler.
Her most valued achievement was loving and raising her children and caring for her family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Per her wishes there will be no services. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
