Melinda Voiselle

Melinda Durham Voiselle, age 61, entered eternal rest peacefully in her home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Melinda was a vibrant and loving soul who found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She had a deep love for coffee, Mexican food, and shopping, always approaching each day with warmth and enthusiasm. Melinda enjoyed traveling and especially loved going on cruises, where she could take in new places and create lasting memories.

She and her husband shared many adventures together, from peaceful weekends at the fishing camp on Toledo Bend—where she proudly beat him in the boat every time—to scenic motorcycle rides through the mountains. She took great pride in her yard and flowers, tending to them with care and joy.

More than anything, Melinda cherished time spent with family and friends. She was a wonderful wife and a truly special person whose love, laughter, and spirit will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Durham.

Those left to cherish her memory include her devoted husband, Edgar Voiselle; her children, Amanda Peters (Mark), Edgar Voiselle III (Leanne), Cindy Briggs, and Tonia Tyler; father, Larry Durham; her sister, Cindy Stockton (Rick); her brother, Chip Durham (Angie); along with 14 beloved grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She will also be deeply missed by many extended family members and countless dear friends whose lives she touched with love and kindness

Services for Melinda will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, LA with Pastor Darell Ingram officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

The family requests visitation be held Tuesday, September 30th at Gallagher from 10:00am until time of service.
