LARRY NICHOLSON

Larry Thomas Nicholson, 78, of Concord, California, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025.

Born on September 5, 1947, in Oakland, California, Larry was the son of Estel & Marjorie Nicholson. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and later spent 46 years as an engineer working on nuclear power plants.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Freya; their children, Stephanie Lynn (married to Travis) Butcher and Matthew Wayne (married to Melissa) Nicholson, and five grandchildren, Luke Allen, Addysen Jane, and Blake Knighten Butcher, and Michael Ryker and Miles Christian Nicholson.

A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, September 24, at 10:00 AM at Diablo Valley Funeral Home on 1390 Monument Blvd., Concord, California, followed by Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 2011 Arnold Industrial Way, Concord, California.
