Glenna Mae Laughter

Glenna Mae “Billie” Williams Laughter, born on November 27, 1935, in Macon County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, in Henderson County, North Carolina, at the age of 89.

Billie was a cherished member of Main Street Baptist Church in Hendersonville and a proud graduate of Mills River High School. She lived a life marked by devotion to her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Roscoe B. Laughter, her parents, Wint H. Williams and Junie E. Williams, sisters, Mildred Collins and Dorothy Sue Williams, her brother George Williams, and nieces, Leslie Jill Williams and Mona Quinn. She was also preceded in death by her nephews, Bradley “Bo” Wiggins and Kent Wiggins.

Billie leaves behind a loving family, including her brother W.R. Williams (Brenda); her nieces, Deborah Gibbs (Dewayne), Heather Erwin (Wendell), Laci Ott (Sean), and Maria Laughter (Sam); her nephews, Christopher Williams, Greg Wiggins (Mary), Jay Stepp (Glenda), and Michael Williams (Michael). She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Emilie Williams, Ethel McKinna, and Patricia Laughter, brother-in-law, Clifford Laughter, and several great-nieces and great-nephews, who will remember her fondly.

In accordance with Billie’s wishes, no formal services will be held. She will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Roscoe. Billie’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will remain a guiding presence in the lives she touched. Shuler Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.
