Clarence Leon Dorsey Jr., 60, of Hannibal, MO passed away at 4:53 AM, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal, MO.
Friends and Family are invited to Clarence’s Life Celebration at a visitation that will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday, October 13, 2025, at James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.
Clarence was born August 26, 1965, in Hannibal, MO to Clarence L. Dorsey Sr. and Martha Beal Dorsey.
Survivors include his three children, Deanndra Dorsey, Quentin Dorsey, and Vashaun Dorsey; brother, Robert Dorsey (Mary Montgomery) of Hannibal, MO; five sisters, Tillie Perkins of Hannibal, MO, Goldie Cotton (Leo) of St. Louis, MO, Lillian Patton of Atlanta, GA, Denise Dorsey of Hannibal, MO, and Stacey Ramsey (James) of Indiana; eight grandchildren, Ayden Dorsey, Aliyah Dorsey, Emydrian Perkins, Romance Randall, Azian Randall, Abrielle Dorsey, Sepierre Dorsey, Jamari Dorsey, and Abryn Hampton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tracey B. Dorsey; one sister, Shirley Burrage; and one niece, LaShonda Phillips.
Professionally, Clarence worked as a store clerk at Goodwill. He had also previously worked at Manchester Tank and at DHL in Hannibal.
An avid outdoorsman, Clarence could often be found fishing at the Bay, rabbit hunting, mushroom hunting, or just simply riding his bike. In the quiet of his home, Clarence enjoyed watching the classic western, “Gunsmoke” or cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs. Clarence was a master on the grill and took pride in his talent. Clarence was also a member of the Nightcrawler’s Motorcycle Club. Above all, Clarence cherished the memories made with this family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
