We are saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Christiana Echikunwoke, age 56, on August 30, 2025. Christiana was born on September 8, 1968 to George and Clementina Iheyichukwu, in Nigeria.
Christiana worked as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years for many different organizations, tending to the best health of her patients. On October 23, 1995 she married Godwin Echikunwoke, enjoying 30 years of marriage. Christiana was the founder of Enugu Women’s Group, which she led as president for over 10 years.
Christiana loved to cook, creating special meals for her family and friends with love. Ultimately, she was known for her love of family, spending time with them any chance she had. She loved the Lord, making it a point to read the Bible and pray often, inspiring and imprinting a love for the Lord in her family. Gardening was another pastime she enjoyed, growing fresh fruits and vegetables to cook for those she loved. She also enjoyed playing tennis, instilling a love of sports to all her children.
Christiana was preceded in death by her parents, George Iheyichukwu and Clementina Iheyichukwu. She is survived by her husband, Godwin Echikunwoke; her children, daughter, Annette Echikunwoke, daughter, Trina Echikunwoke, son, Victor Echikunwoke, and daughter, Olivia Echikunwoke. She is also survived by a host of relatives, too numerous to mention, who will miss her tremendously.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Pfeifer Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Service follows at 12 noon with Pastor Les Bowling, officiating. Burial will take place in the Glen Rest Memorial Estates, Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
