Barbara Rice

Barbara Katherine Blackburn Rice, 83, widow of Montie Delano Rice, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Baptist Health in Lexington. She was born May 30, 1942, in Floyd County to the late George and Susan Endicott Blackburn.

Barbara will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Monica Rice (Chad) Harlan, Lexington, Melissa Rice (Loren) Madden, West Liberty, sister, Carol (Everett) Baldridge, Finley, Ohio, granddaughter, Kalyn (Jordan) Bryant, and great grandsons Harrison Bryant and Theodore Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Highland Blackburn, Alice Fulks, Maxine Burchett, and Ocie Branham. She will also be remembered by many beloved nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance to celebrate the lives of Barbara and Montie will be held at 1:30 pm on August 15, 2025, at Little Paint First Church of God, 671 Little Paint Creek, East Point, KY 41216. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until the time of service.
