Mary Rose Memoli

Mary Rose Memoli, age 96, of Stratford, beloved wife of the late Harry Memoli, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs. Memoli was born August 24, 1928, in Balestra, Italy, daughter of the late Giovani and Lucia (Pagano) Grasso and was a longtime area resident.

Mary was retired from Dresser Industries, a devoted Catholic and a communicant of St. Mark’s Church, Stratford, as well as a Padre Pio devotee. She also enjoyed reading biographies, knitting, crocheting, cooking and listening to the Italian station.

Survivors include her sister, Emelia Grasso, several nieces and nephews and her dear friends Mary Ellen Mangione and Claudia Mangione Luff.

She was predeceased by brothers, Franco and Augusto Grasso.

Friends are invited to attend her funeral on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Mark’s Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, CT. Interment will follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Stratford.
