Gordon Howath

Gordon Gregory Howath passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, in Bridgewater, NJ. He was born on September 7, 1933, in Jackson Heights, NY, the son of Anthony and Hilda (Gray) Howath.

Gordon graduated from The Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling, NY. and attended the University of Vermont. After college, he joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Virginia. After completion of his service, he began working at the Sinclair Oil Company in New York City. While at Sinclair, Gordon met his devoted wife, Judy (Roche). They married on October 10, 1959, and celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Only a few months after marrying, Gordon began his career on Wall Street, working as a government bond trader for Biggs & Moffit. He retired after a successful career spanning 30+ years.

Surviving are his son Robert (Mary Beth) Howath; daughters Janie (Michael) Murphy and Cathy (Peter) Molyneux; five grandchildren, Brian (Lily), Caroline (Michael), Anne, Kevin and Samantha; his sister-in-law, Patricia (Michael) Fraysse and nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11AM, Thursday, August 7, 2025, at St. Gabriel, the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 88 E. Saddle River Road, Saddle River, NJ with visitation at 10AM before the service. Interment will be at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ.
