Doreen Jones

Doreen Kay Jones, 68, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at her home in Harrison.

She was born on May 26, 1957, in Torrance, California, to Wayne Delyle Jones and Betty Mae Looney Gardner. For many years, Doreen worked as a secretary for A & A Ready-Mix Concrete. She was a dedicated and faithful member of Christian Life Center in Harrison, where she worshiped for 15 years until health issues prevented her from attending regularly.

Doreen was a woman of quiet strength and deep interests. She loved spending her time working on crossword puzzles and getting lost in the pages of mystery novels, especially those by Stephen King and Danielle Steel. She enjoyed the familiar comfort of country music, and Elvis Presley’s timeless songs were among her favorites.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patricia McGuirk and Gina Austin; and one brother, Gary Brasher.

Doreen is survived by her son, Cody Jones and his wife, Brittany, of Harrison; one sister, Rhonda Willis, of Harrison; three grandchildren, Andrew Jones, Nicholas Jones, and Alexa Jones, all of Harrison; one niece, Mistie Piatt, of Harrison; two nephews, Daniel Goff, of Harrison, and Zachary Brasher, of Shell Knob, Missouri; three great-nieces, Karinne Piatt, Hailey Piatt, and Ripley Goff, all of Harrison; and one great-nephew, Dominic Goff, of Harrison.

A family conducted memorial service in Doreen’s honor will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at the Christian Life Center.
