JoAnn McCoy

JoAnn McCoy was born on June 20, 1954, to Jo’ H. Shavers and Helen L. Clark-Mays in England, Arkansas.

JoAnn was raised in church and at an early age she gave her life to Christ. For many years she was employed with the Arkansas Democrat before taking an early retirement due to health issues. She was currently serving on the Mother’s Board at Greater Pentecostal Miracle Temple Church.

JoAnn was proceeded in death by her father Jo’ H. Shavers; Mother, Helen Clark-Mays; Brothers, George Mays, Henry Mays, Jerry Mays, Willie L. Mays, Bennie Mays Jr., & Marvin Mays; Sister, Eloise Dodson; Daughter, Sonia Conley-Gray.

JoAnn leaves to cherish a legacy of love and memories, Son, Anthony (Shelia) Conley; Daughter, Antonia (Dawn) Conley, Shantana Conley; Brothers, Willie (Carolyn) West, Gary (Peggy) Brown Sr., Beenie (Marie) Mays, David Mays, & Author Mays; Sisters, Andranette Chatman, Mary Robinson, Joyce (Bobby) Boston, Betty (Jimmy) Canon, Denise (Marcelino) Isreal, Bonnie Mays, & Lucille Mays. 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
