103, longtime southside resident, passed away August 28, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Ortiz Ocasio; cherished daughter of the late Marie Dolores Rivera Millan and the late Primitivo Perez Rodriguez; loving mother of Jose Ortiz, Noemi Molina, Brenda Ortiz-Garza, late Rene Ivan Ortiz, Maida Luz Ortiz, Luis “Tony” Ortiz, and the late Pedro “Junior” Pineda; adored sister of the late Mami Leo, the late Aniceto, the late Ata, and the late Justo; a devoted grandmother of numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; also survived by numerous fond friends and family.

Alejandrina enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, ironing, and sewing. Embroidery was one of the many skills she had, and it went right along with her being a great homemaker. Always showing pure love to everyone, she made sure plenty of food was always cooked and kept her family fed. A true jokester, you could always find her making somebody laugh if she wasn’t already herself! She was known for her outgoing and fun personality.

Her family was very important to her. She loved spending time with them, always showing such unconditional love to everyone around her. She will always be remembered, deeply loved and never forgotten by everyone that knew her.

The family will receive friends at Central Chapel, 6158 S. Central Ave. Chicago, IL, 60638 on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 9-11 a.m. Funeral 11:00 a.m. at the chapel to St. Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago for a 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Internment to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
