Peter Mackiewicz, age 52, of Spring Grove and formerly of Poland. Beloved husband of Svetlana Mackiewicz. Devoted father to Olesia Shalayska (Robert Boss). Cherished grandfather to Thomas Boss. Dear son of the late Lidia Holm. Beloved son-in-law to Vera and the late Vladimir Sokalo. Loving brother-in-law to Gennadiy Sokalo. Peter lived and loved life to the fullest. He was passionate about learning, traveling and experiencing new things.  A visitation will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 185 E. Northwest Hwy. Palatine IL., from 3:00-7:00PM. A funeral service will be held Monday at the funeral home, December 13, at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Arlington Heights IL.
