Thurman Fuller

THURMAN LEE FULLER, 70 years of age, of Grundy, VA, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. Born in Feds Creek, KY, he was the son of the late Kermit Fuller and Shelby Jean (Stiltner) Fuller Chaffins. He was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian Faith. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and a highly skilled carpenter. He attended Grundy High School and continued his education at Southwest Virginia Community College in HVAC. He loved to incubate and raise chickens and turkeys and loved to flea market.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Flora Mae (Ratliff) Fuller; a grandchild: Baby Fuller; brothers: Kermit Eugene Fuller, Sherman Fuller; sister: Angela Beth Moore; stepsister: Teresa Helton.

Those left to cherish his memory include his sons: Eric Lee and Tammy Wilson Fuller of Abingdon, VA, Jonathan Andrew and Amanda Fuller of Powell, TN, Joshua Wayne and Breonna Fuller of Council, VA; Kenneth Ratliff his nephew who was like a son of Grundy, VA; longtime companion Arlene Lewis; special children: Tasha and Bill Wickline, Kelli and Hubbard Chaney, Randall and Satin Baisden, Zack and Brittany Wimmer, Hunter Wimmer, Tanner Wimmer; step children: Anthony Ratliff, Raven of VA, Norma Jean Endicott of Patterson, VA; brother: Larry Dean Fuller of Shelbyville, IN; sisters: Patsy Sue Fuller of Greenville, TN, Barbara Jean Fuller of Cedar Bluff, VA, Tammy Denise Fuller of Richlands, VA; special sister, Brenda Baker of Slate Creek, VA; stepbrother: Dicky Vandyke; stepsister: Neica Stiltner; grandchildren: Haylee Joy Fuller, Aiden Fuller, Brayden Fuller, Amanda Keen, Robert Blackstock, Shawn Baxter, Emma Hackney, Matthew Hackney, Jackson Baisden; great-grandchildren: Daxton Blackstock, Waylon Blackstock, Joshua Keen, Alyssa Keen, Teddy Wayne Keen and Kanaan Keen.

Also, survived by several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Wednesday and Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.

Funeral Services for THURMAN LEE FULLER will be conducted Friday, July 25, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Danny Hess, Josh Bowman, and Shawn Kidd officiating. Burial to follow in the Jones Cemetery, Feds Creek, KY.

Active Pallbearers will be Eric Fuller, Jonathan Fuller, Josh Fuller, Kenneth Ratliff, Mike Davis and Zack Wimmer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Tawadros & Infusion Staff at Clinch Valley Medical Center.
