Joetta Matney

JOETTA LYNN MATNEY, 66, of the Patterson section of Oakwood, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at the Heritage Hall Nursing Home following an extended illness. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late McKinley and Juanita (Wright) Matney. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was a member of Patterson Church of Christ. She was a lover of music and a retired Registered Nurse.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Peggy (Bailey) Fletcher of Charleston, WV, Annita (Bailey) Bowman of Grundy, VA; 3-Nephews: Jeff (Sherry) Bowman, Wesley (Susan) Wright and Preston (Marinna) Fletcher; Special Friends: Rethia Pittman, Clint & Valerie Stewart, Sharon Slone and Terry (Meadows) Clark.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
