Jack Geiyer

Jack Geiyer, 97 of Patterson, NY passed away on July 21, 2025.

Jack was born in the Bronx on June 18, 1928, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Meder).

Soon after school graduation Jack joined the US Merchant Marine and traveled much of the world.

In 1956 Jack became a proud member of the New York Fire Department.

A curious person, he was an avid reader, an American history buff, model ship builder and atlas collector.

Besides being a father of eight Jack was also grandfather to fifteen and great-grandfather to fourteen. Some of his favorite times included his Firefighter reunions but the best was Christmas time when assembling his holiday village and decorating the tree were lots of fun.

Jack will be dearly missed as is his beloved wife Theresa and daughters Terry Ann Nelson, Elizabeth Geiyer and grandson Jackie Geiyer.

Jack is survived by daughters Donna Marie Botero, Joann Rempe and Judy Carlton and sons Jack Robert Geiyer, Robert Geiyer and Phillip Geiyer.
