Bon Buie

Bon Jeanette Buie, 88, beloved mother and sister, of Granbury, passed away on Tuesday evening, August 19, 2025, in Granbury, Texas.

A Celebration of Life Service be held at 11 A.M., on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, in Granbury. Burial will be private.

Bon was born on March 21, 1937, in El Paso, Texas to the late Forest and Katherine White. She married Kenneth Buie in June of 1970. Bon received her Bachelor’s Degree from North Texas University. She taught Physical Education teacher and was the Office Manager for her husband’s business. She enjoyed dancing and raising ostriches. Additionally, she served as an Activities Director in a nursing home and was an avid reader.

Bon is survived by her sister, Patricia Craft; and by her step-daughter, Cheryl Whiteside, two grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

In addition to her parents, Bon was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Buie in 2017.
