Carson City deputies make arrests for DUI, probation violation and warrants
- July 30, 2025

A 32-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning for suspicion of DUI, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
At around 12:40 a.m. a CCSO deputy observed a vehicle traveling northbound on Fairview. The vehicle approached the intersection of Fairview and Highway 50 and was in the designated turn-only lane. However, the vehicle continued straight instead of turning. The deputy initiated their blue and red overhead lights and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.
The deputy made contact with the driver at the passenger-side window. While speaking to him, the deputy detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and burned cannabis coming from inside the vehicle, the report states.
The deputy observed the man’s eyes were watery and bloodshot and his speech was thick. The man initially stated he had no alcoholic drinks, however he later admitted to drinking three beers and smoking a “blunt” a few hours before driving. The deputy noticed the man had track marks on his arm, consistent with intravenous drug use.
The man to submitted to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI alcohol/drugs. He agreed to an evidentiary blood test. Bail; $1,137.
