Betty Jo Riddle

Betty Jo Riddle, age 96, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025. A beloved mother, great-grandmother, and friend, Betty Jo lived a long and meaningful life defined by love, strength, and deep devotion to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Riddle; her son, Jerry Wayne Riddle; her sister, Wilma Pohlman; and her brother, Walton Vines.

She is survived by her loving son, Howard Riddle, and her cherished great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Naugher, both of whom were constant sources of joy in her later years.

Betty Jo will be remembered for her warmth, her unwavering spirit, and her signature reminder to those she loved:

“Love me more, and keep loving me!”

She enjoyed the sweetness of vanilla ice cream, especially homemade ice cream.

Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her memory will be held dear by all whose lives she touched.

The family would like to send a very special “Thank You!” to Shay at Affinity Hospice for taking such good care of Betty.

A private family service will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a kind word, a warm memory, or some homemade ice cream or simply take a moment to love a little more – just as Betty Jo would have wanted.
