Donald Brock

Donald Dewitt “Don” Brock, born on September 26, 1939, in Stecoah, NC, passed away peacefully at the age of 85 on July 3, 2025, at Pacifica Senior Living Heritage Hills in Hendersonville, NC.

Don was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted 35 years of his life as an instrumentation mechanic with Kimberly Clark. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many passions. He loved bowling and golf, was an avid guitar player, and found great joy in gardening and fishing. Some of his fondest memories were spent on Fontana Lake, where he cherished time with family and friends.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Don was also an active member of the Henderson County VFW, where he formed lifelong friendships and served his community with honor and dedication.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, George and Desta Robbins Brock Cable, and his son, Donald Brock, Jr. Don is survived by his loving children: Kim Streadwick and her husband Edward, Keith Brock, and Julie Burns and her husband Adrian. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Garrett, Andrew, and Kaitlyn Burns, and Edward and Emily Streadwick.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Tracy Hunter will officiate, and military honors will be provided by the North Carolina National Guard and the Henderson County Honor Guard, in recognition of Don’s service to his country.

Don Brock will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his community, and his country. His warmth, humor, and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
