Anthony DeCesare

Anthony “Tony” DeCesare, age 84, of Satellite Beach, FL passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Stuart, FL just after 8 pm on July 4, 2025. Tony was raised in West Warwick, RI and attended West Warwick High School where he was a multi-sport athlete and often relished the memories from his glory days. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served with pride. After the military he graduated from Johnson and Wales University (RI) with a BA in Business. He held a range of positions during his professional life: supervisor of different businesses in RI and contractor on development projects in RI before moving to FL and beginning his own business in renovation and repairs. He also spent a season in mission work in Haiti and the local prisons in Florida.

His big personality and outrageous life stories made him unforgettable to everyone he met. He lived the essence of fellowship – doing what he loved with who he loved.

Tony is survived by his two daughters Tammy DeCesare and Christina Booth; his four grandchildren Israel, Elijah, and Justis Booth and Ireland Hopkinson; and his brother James DeCesare. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincenzo “James” DeCesare, Antoinette (Ottaviano) DeCesare; his brothers John and Robert and his sister Gail DeCesare.

In lieu of a public funeral service a celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 12 pm at the American Legion Post 200, 105 Ocean Blvd, Satellite Beach, FL 32937. Family and friends are invited to share the life and stories of Tony. In honor of his profound passion for football please wear your favorite team’s gear to the celebration.
