This week’s Nevada Humane Society, Carson City branch Pet of the Week is Seymour, a four-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of potential and dreams as big as the great outdoors.

This striking boy is searching for a loving home where he can stretch his legs, explore, and enjoy the simple joys of life.

Seymour thrives in calm, peaceful environments and may be happiest in a home with a yard or a space where he can run, play and soak up the sunshine.

While Seymour may not be the type to jump into your lap right away, he’s a gentle soul with so much to offer. With a little patience, some additional training and plenty of love, Seymour is sure to blossom into a loyal and rewarding companion.

Here’s what Seymour has to say:

Hi there! I’m Seymour.

I’m a dog with big dreams — dreams of running and playing in a wide, open yard, feeling the grass under my paws and the sun on my back. The outdoors is my happy place. I love the fresh air, the soft rustle of leaves, and the freedom to roam and explore. I imagine myself in a calm, quiet space where I can truly relax — no loud noises, no hustle and bustle, just peace and serenity.

I’ll be honest,  I like my independence and enjoy doing my own thing, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have room in my heart for the right family. With a little patience, some training, and maybe a few tasty treats, I know I can be the loyal companion you’ve been searching for.

I do have a few quirks that make me special. The nice people here think I may be vision deficient and hearing impaired, but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying life to the fullest. I’m friendly, curious and ready for the next adventure that comes my way. If you have a yard or some space where I can stretch my legs and explore, plenty of love and support, and a nice cozy spot to lounge in too, I think we’d make a great team.

So, what do you say? If you’re looking for a calm, nature-loving pup, I’d love to meet you. Let’s make my dream of a forever home come true!

Seymour is waiting to meet his forever family at our Carson City campus located at 549 Airport Road. Could that family be you? Come visit him today and see if he’s the missing piece you’ve been searching for.
