Rolf Gordon

We are saddened to announce the passing of Rolf Gordon. Please join us as we lift his family in our prayers. 

Rolf E. Gordon, Sr., 85, of Apalachicola, surrounded by loved ones, passed away, and went to be Jesus on May 28, 2025 following an extended illness.

Rolf was born in Apalachicola, FL on November 24, 1939 to Oscar and Lucile Gordon.

Rolf served in the National Guard. He worked for the USPS for many years, Ace Hardware for his good friend/”brother” Red Sizemore, and then owned a small engine repair business. He loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors, as well as tinkering in his shop.

He was well-known and loved very much in our community.  He was a comical, but kind man, and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda, two sons, Rolf (Misty) and Gabriel (Jennifer); grandchildren, Matthew,  Austin, Jessica, Brian, and Aston; great grandchildren Breagan, Haley, LJ, Brista, Bria, and Brinna;  sister, Geneva Bryant, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Lucile Gordon, and sister, Martha Strickland.

Funeral services will be held at Kelley Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4th with Pastor Mac McMillan officiating.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
