In Loving Memory of Betty Ann Braxton

June 13, 1942 – June 24, 2025

Our beautiful mama, Betty Ann Braxton, went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2025. The heaven she has always longed for is now her eternal home, where peace, joy, and reunion abound.

Born in Wewahitchka, Florida, Betty was the cherished daughter of the late Leroy and Toy Shiver. She spent her life as a devoted wife, loving mother, and the heart of her family. She leaves behind the love of her life of 68 years, Buddy Braxton, who stood by her side through every season.

Betty was the proud mother of three daughters: Tammy Carter, Felicia Logan (husband Shawn), and Amy Cook (husband Duane). Her legacy continues through her 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love, strength, and gentle spirit.

She also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends who will forever hold her memory close. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved brothers Billy Shiver, Jammie Shiver, and Nick Shiver, and her dear sisters Sherill Carroll, Thelma Gragg, and Barbara Shiver.

Betty’s life was one of faith, grace, and love. She was a light to all who knew her, and her warm heart, gentle laughter, and endless kindness will be missed more than words can say. We find peace knowing that she is now rejoicing in the arms of Jesus, reunited with those who went before her.
